US NAVY 1998-2002
Paul Damon is a US Navy veteran and grammy nominated artist. After getting out of the military, Paul's internal wounds from what he experienced brought him into a dark place in his life. With his last $300 in his pocket, he ventured to Costa Rica to take his own life. While there, he discovered holistic healing and was able to re-invent himself through devoting his life to holistic practices. After noticing that there was an abundance of burlap sacks and bamboo, he invented his first Bambooty chair as a way to start his life again. After getting back on his feet, he decided to move to Santa Cruz to start an NPO that helps veterans like himself heal from their internal wounds with holistic practices. Production of this chair provides jobs and livelihood programs for disabled veterans and profits from sales will go towards funding healing retreats for other veterans and people suffering from PTSD.
